What is your role at Aqueous and what does that involve on a day-to-day basis?
I’m a Digital Marketing Analyst which means I look after customer websites and SEO accounts. This involves helping them decide what articles and content their sites would benefit from, building links to their sites from around the web, solving technical issues and almost anything else to help them promote themselves and rank as highly as possible for relevant search terms.
Tell us about yourself?
I grew up near Leeds. Since then I’ve bounced around a number of cities and countries before settling in Liverpool a couple of years ago.
I haven’t always worked in digital marketing – I’ve tried my hand in film and TV production, public relations, and then more offline-focused marketing roles in law, recruitment and financial services firms.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
As I write this in the middle, or hopefully towards the end, of a viral pandemic, most of the answers at present can be done from my sofa – In more outdoors-y times however, I enjoy travelling, eating and drinking out, watching Liverpool FC, buying books, telling people I work out more than I do, and occasionally reading books.
Who inspires you and why?
The Aqueous team – we’re close knit and work, teach and learn together really well.
What’s the best thing about working at Aqueous?
As well as the team, getting to work with a wide range of interesting customers means that no two days are quite the same.
Are there any interesting facts about you people might not be aware of?
I hate mojitos ever since I spent two days mixing them for delegates at a proctology conference!
