Our customer is a challenger brand in a competitive marketplace dominated by some household names. The objective is to get them to rank nationally against far larger firms.
In the past, most Search firms would target specific keywords, write articles and then link build to that article to try and get it to rank.
Today, Google has changed. This sort of tactic might get some success, but it won’t deliver the real results a customer is looking for.
Our research had identified that in our customers’ marketplace, people were often looking for answers to specific questions before they made contact with a firm who could help them. As our customer provides a sensitive business service, people want to be sure they can trust the firm before they call.
With this in mind, we mapped out the most asked questions in their marketplace, identified answers that we could provide and then set about building the pages in such a way that Google could not fail to notice them
Within eight weeks were able to report to our customer that we had captured the first knowledge box and that was quickly followed by four more.
Following our content plan, we are now on target to get twenty of these in the next three months.
